That’s right. You can have a Dacia from £6,995...... in white.
However if you want a colour, that’s £495*.
*You also have to go up one spec from Access to Ambiance spec which is another £800. But do do get body coloured bumpers in place of the bare plastic ones.
Access, £6,995. 1.0 petrol, manual.
Ambiance, £7,795.
Ambiance plus coloured paint, £8,290.
Thought I’d spec the most expensive Dacia Sandero.
It’s the Dacia Sandero Laureate at £13,380.
£75 for a centre arm rest.
£175 car alarm.
If you preferred the petrol to the diesel, you could save about £1,500.

Or, if you move a few kilometres across the Atlantic, you can have a Nissan Micra for the equivalent of £5,767. And you get hubcaps too! But good luck finding one in such a spec at an actual dealer.

Heh... so they are just carrying over the same one to 2018. Guess the new one is too luxurious.

Pretty much. Wouldn’t be surprised if the 2018 one eventually replaces the rather slow-selling Note, much in the same way the current one replaced the Versa sedan.

Ehh... I wouldn’t put it past Nissan to keep it in production. I mean look at the Sentra/Tsuru...

I’d be happy with the base model as long as it came with a radio with an Aux Input! :)

Nice of you to offer but I’d rather pay extra and get the new model Tony Cipriani pointed to.

The base model seems like a bargain (~AU$12,600) but the full of fruit version does not. However a fully loaded Kia Picanto is AU$15500 driveaway...so even if the Davis was available, probably not.

For the fully ticked Laureate, there is a large number of cars I would pick over it.
Like a
1.0 Nissan Micra.
1.2 Renault Clio.
1.4 Fiat Tipo.
1.25 Kia Rio.
1.1 Ford Fiesta
1.0 Skoda Fabia.
etc...

Surprisingly, the Sandero is more expensive here than in England, at current exchange rates one will set you back 7,411 units of the finest British currency.

I was going to put it down to delivery costs and import taxes from this side of the pond but they are also made in Brazil and Colombia.
Must be local taxes.

No idea.
Is the cost of living (ie wages, national tax, cost of similar products similar in price) about equal.
Romania isn’t in the Eurozone and uses the Romanian, Leu, which is approximately 1/5 of a British, Pound at 18pence per Leu.

We have had a lot of inflation lately, specially in imported goods because our currency has been hit hard by the blob of lard they insist on calling a human president north of the border. Regardless, its honestly odd, we have similar car taxes to europe but those normally kick in once the cars go more expensive than 200k. Maybe it has more standard equipment?
Mind you, the cheapest car we sold up to 2017 was the tsuru, the most expensive version was 146,000 pesos.

That’s odd.
Mind you, each country has their own system. There may not be a tax put on the car for the customer but there may be a regional, national or local tax on the import, transport and distribution of the vehicles.
Also, I didn’t know Italy got the Dacia Dokker Pickup.

To be honest, in the most part it’s really all people need.
The base model isn’t a big seller in the U.K. but it’s there. Many go for the Ambiance and above. Though when your going up in price, that’s where the market opens up more with cars such as the
1.2 Suzuki Baleno SZ3
1.4 Vauxhall Corsa Sting, Special Edition
Granted other than the Suzuki Baleno, the other cars under £10,000 are smaller than the Dacia Sandero.
But U.K. dealers are always open to discounts and offers of around £1,000-2,000 off if you ask nicely or it’ll get the sale.
